Which boost to add bass/thickness to a 2204?

I have a stock '84 vertical input 2204 and I'm looking to narrow my search for a boost before I start buying and selling multiple pedals. I'm looking for something that adds gain above what the stock preamp provides as well as add low end. Just looking for a boost that really thickens the tone, some may call it more "hi-def" or 3D. I currently have a Monte Allum modded SD-1, Maxon OD9, and the Maxon OD9 pro +. I like the pro+ for this application the most so far. I also have a Boss GE-7 but it adds tons of noise, plus I'm trying to find my answer all in one pedal. I want to try the BB-preamp since it can add a lot of gain and has a bass knob. I know that many like the OCD or Koko boost with Marshalls but in clips they just sound like boosting with any regular TS based pedal. I'd also like to try something like the T-Rex Mean Machine. It would be cool to have a two channel pedal that has separate tone controls, all in one, basically making it a 3 channel amp.

Koko clean side or iso is great for this. Midboost side for extra grind.

Honestly, add a simple bass boost circuit to the amp. Will only cost you $5 in parts. Try something like a 220k resistor with a .002 cap parallel with it. If you want more bottom end, try using a .003 or .004 cap. If you still want more, add a bigger resistor like 470k. This simple circuit goes from the negative feedback wire to the 8 ohm tap on the ohm selector switch. You can get the parts from radio shack.

Then use a simple pedal like a tube screamer, Cusack screamer of Timmy pedal to add the needed gain.

I just fired mine up yesterday and used a Suhr Shiba Drive Reloaded. Sounded fantastic.

If you know how to do it, psychodave seems to have the best suggestion IMO but if you get an od then for your needs I would get one with tone shaping options.

Something like a VFE pedal where you can set which frequency you want to boost.

Otherwise maybe a bigger cab or different speakers may help but that could get expensive.

turn down the gain and use a Triple Wreck
I have to find some more clips but this first one I viewed put out by the company sounds awful. It must sound better in person.

Seems like it's own amp entirely but there is definitely not a lack of bass.

This has been on my radar. Does it add significant bass though? Seems like it was designed to do exactly what I'm looking for, to replace a separate boost, overdrive and eq all in one box.

Hit up Airis Effects, man. Rick at Airis has some phenomenal clean boost and OD pedals available. And if he doesn't have what you want as a production model, then he will make it custom to your specs.

Aside from that, if you want to go with a more reputed "bigger name" company, then I'd recommend checking out the Port City Sahana Drive or the Suhr Shiba Drive if you want an OD. If you want a clean boost, then look into the Port City Salem Boost or the VFE Focus (the latter is more of a mid-booster though).

I use an OD808 to boost my 2204 when I feel that an SD1 doesn't have enough low end. I was not a fan of the OD9+ at all, FWIW.

I don't think it was designed intentionally to just add more bass. It's not a significant amount but it does thicken up the tone of overall

Boss SD-1 and a GE-7 EQ's to shape a bit more but honestly a Boss SD-1 and backing the tone pot back on the guitar itself.

MXR 6 band EQ

You can try a Bad Monkey. CHEAP Tube Screamer type pedal with Low and High control instead of just a tone control.

I don't have a tone pot on my #1.
