My nephew has the chance to purchase one of these 4x12 cabs. I have never played either of them so I'm not sure which way to go. I know the Marshall has the G12T-75's and the Carvin V30's. I am mainly interested in info about which cab is built better, speakers can always be swapped out. I know that both are fairly recent models. He plays in a cover band playing Top 40 rock. Any info would be greatly appreciated.

carvin v3, legacy, or marshall (i.e. dsl). from what i have been reading it seems like the legacy cab may be the way to go. what do you all think?

Get the V30 legacy, and swap me two of my t75s for two of the V30s.

V30/t75 are great in X configuration.

It comes down to what you prefer in speakers. The build quality is about the same. The design is probably simular too

I'd say neither, honestly.

Grab a Rectifier Stiletto (Traditional) cabinet if you like non-oversized boxes. The V30s in them are voiced VERY pleasantly as well.
