For the Edge you are going to want to be able to dial in subdivisions and modulation. That rules out the exceptional Digitech Hardwire DL8.

Check out a used TC Electronics Nova Repeater. Should be able to get it for less than $100 and will do what you want. Can't go wrong with the TC electronics flashback either.
 
I have a nova repeater and it sounds very good with a fair amount of useful options. The best part is that it handles line level and instrument level both well.
