What did you used to hate that you now like? What did you like that you're not big on anymore?

For me, it's:
- G12T-75s: Used to despise them. Then I heard some killer old, well worn-in 75s and haven't looked back.
- WCR Godwood: Still a great sounding pickup, but nowhere near as aggressive as the Marshallhead.

Les Paul's. I just never cared for the look of them and the couple I played at the time really did nothing for me but I was a Floyded strat man...remained that way for about 30 years. For some strange reason when the Axcess (the floyded ones) came out I was interested in them. I started liking them but also have 20 some guitars with Floyds so I decided to get TOM version. Bought my first in march of 2012 and my second in march of 2013 and been playing my LP's about 95+% of the time

Rectifiers. I still don't like them alone, but they mix well with other amps.

Teles. Used to think they were ugly, boring and strictly within the territory of boring, jangly indie bands. I was wrong, they're killer.

Pedals. Used to be rack guy when it came to effects. I sold my rack about 3 months ago and now I'm all pedals.

Single coils. Now all of my guitars either have at least 1 single coil or a coil split on it.

Diezel vh4- the amp i used to hate is now the amp i love.

Wait, I change my mind about my first answer. I've changed my mind about single coils. I love the P90 and the Fender style singles have their place too.

From here on out, I will no longer change my mind again.

The jug. Very underrated.

Mesa Rectifiers.

I heard so many bad tones over the years I used to bag on them.

Now I LOVE my Triple Wreck. Stunning, heavy rock tones.

It does all kinds of tones, but that's what I use it for.

for me it was LP's I hated them until my 2 year old managed to knock one over in a store one day... I picked it up and the rest is history...
I think it was something to do with the shape and size of the neck

the thing I still hate (with a vengeance of biblical proportions) is the friggen trem arm for some reason I just cant pick and trem at the same time
I thought it was because the arm is located at the bottom of the bridge so I bought a lefty version but the problem remains

Mesa Mark Series: Used to hate all of the options and tone but I've fallen in love with the versatility and tone. Aside from that; Mesa in general. I love the Stiletto, Rocket 44, Blue Angel.

Oh yeah, the jug, I changed my mind about the jug too. Other than that, I never change my mind.

I used to like vaporizers, but now I just prefer a trusty pipe or steamroller these days...

I've gone through some interesting changes lately...

First up, the amps I love to hear versus the amps I love to play. Believe it or not, there's been a big chasm between these two, and on the face it may seem like a stupid thing to contest. But it's not. Think about it - do you play the amps you love to hear (in music, recordings, etc) or do you play the amps because they feel right? If you've got both - good on ya, there was a large contingent of my amps I liked the feel of, but actually don't like the sound of. No names needed - let's just say I now know exactly what I want.

Teles? I still have this love/hate relationship with them, which is driving me to have to get one. So I can either set it ablaze and laugh wildly that I got to destroy such an abomination; or it'll wipe out all my other guitars and I'll end up being that "guy with the telecaster".

Axe-II. Sold this morning. Thought it was indispensable; mandatory; absolute necessitation for what I wanted to do. Haven't missed it since it was boxed up, and don't really mind the coin that's coming in from its sale. I am really surprised. Worst case? Get another. But the firmware updates and tweaking and option anxiety were driving me batshit crazy. Got it to sound 99% close to "amp in the room", but that 1% outstanding was a big 1%. Got lower back pains from hunching over looking at my MBP or the green-screen-of-scream. Just gimme a power/standby toggle and this knuckle-dragger feels more at home.

That's it for now.

Oh, wait. Bob Savage. I changed my mind about that guy. Ya. I did.

Another Mesa Recto convert.
I figured out I suck at first impressions with any gear I try. I have to own it for a week or two and really get to know stuff before I figure out if it's a fit for me or not. Tweaking on a new amp in my basement of Zen beats the hell out of guitar center wanking.

Oh yeah, Asian chicks with the bubbly rule also.
