I have two guitars right now. 6 string with drop C and 7 string with drop A. I need a fixed bridge guitar with standard E to drop D. These guitars look so nice and seems like versatile. Basically same guitar, one has natural finish the other has ziricote top. Which looks cooler??

#2 I have to agree that the headstock is not that great. But a head stock doesn't make a great guitar.

it would depend on the grain with the natural finish, does sweetwater still let you choose between what they have in stock?

Either one would make a swell 1970s roadhouse table.

Overall, I'd go with the lighter one or a variation. I'm very picky about natural/transparent finishes, and stalk them until I find one I really like. Big advantage for Sweetwater, since most corporate sellers simply can't be bothered to show you the actual guitar for sale.

The darker one. I don’t like the natural limba, just reminds me of cheap wall wood panels you see in trailers. Not sure why but can’t shake it. Limba stained in other colors can be cool to me though.

They're both good, but I think I prefer the lighter one by a good margin. Reminds me of Jake's guitar in this video:

Agreed on them being nice guitars. I compared one directly to a Schecter Reaper 6, and it was a really close call but the Reaper won. The SVSS' bolt-on meant a barely perceptible reduction in upper-fret access and the neck shape was a hair thicker than the Reaper, so I went with the Reaper, but the SVSS was super close and I think I'd have been happy with it too.

the black limba
i had one it was very good wenge neck was sweet
stayed in tune sounded great was well built
gotta get one w good grain and watch weight

I like the lighter one but I’d prefer a different color pickguard.

So as-is, the darker one.
