Ok got my rack setups.
One rack is hagen/Rjm rg16/mastermind
and the other is Dar Forza/gsp1101/control 2
Now I wanna build my first pedalboard. Here's the pieces.

Mesa Boogie Royal Atlantic " switch by 1/4 jack"

In front of amp:
Line 6 wireless " maybe"
Wah
Pitchblack tuner
Phaser. Also may get gni phase/flanger pedal.
Octave
Filter

Fx loop:
Delay
Harmonist
Tremolo
Flanger

So I want to have presets:
Clean/delay
Dirty/delay
Dirty/delay/harmony
Etc.
And have option of stomping an effect in.
Which pedal switcher will do this?

Was looking at rocktron loop8 floor
Carl Martin octaswitch2 or Combinator2. Whats the difference ?
Any others. Only want one pedal ...not two like voodoo.

Providence PEC-2. Great transparent unit. I bought a Musicomlab to replace it as it is smaller. Worst choice I ever made. I changed the Musicomlab to RJMmini FX gizmo and MM.

What didn't you like about the Musicomlab? I just picked one up and was about to wire it up.

I bought the Musicomlab as well and it arrived broken. Got it fixed and sold it. My new board will just have good pedals and good buffering. Less is more.

What about rocktron loop8 floor? Will it work

Should work, the unit just looks big though, will eat up a lot of your pedal board it seems. Do you need any midi capabilities or a large amount of presets? I think the total # of presets is limited on the Loop 8

Love my WOBO. :2thumbsup:

I needed something simple like you but also needed preset change on a damage control glass nexus..
This was the cheapest most simple all one unit I could find to suit my need's

4 loops, 4 dc power jacks, midi, tuner out with mute, wah loop and 2 1/4" jacks that can control 2 amp functions each like channel switching and effects loop switch on 1 jack it also has a buffer, volume compensation and 30 preset memory

It is a relabeled Glabs unit but cheaper price than the actual Glab version far as I know at $229

How do you hook some of these up in the fx loop of the head? like the musiccom? i see a lot of diagrams but not showing how to hook up in fx loop... the rocktron has sep in/out to do that?

The Musicom loops 1-4 and 5-8 are seperate. So you can have Loops 1-4 running in front and Loops 5-8 running in the loop.

Here's a snapshot of the back.

if there is not enough loops I was thinking on adding a 4 loop midi device where i can put 4 effects in the amps loop? will this work? and what products are available? i guess like mini effect gizmo? 349$ and one know a cheaper one?

The PEC and RJM gear are very open/big sounding. I put my guitar straight through the Musicom and the RJM next to each other and the RJM sounded better to my ears. I always thought there was something lacking live.
Just my opinion. In fairness my Musiclab board was the first one LA SoundDesign built and I think Dave stocks them now and he knows his tone.
