I'd lile to use something very portable for live playing through a cab and I've seen Harley Benton and Bugera ones, are these decent?

Would like something small to cart around to gigs.

Thanks!

I had the Bugera and it did the job for me. I used it with various amps with no issues. If you want a lot of attenuation you need to keep the big knob in the lower settings. Line out is practical if you want to send a dry signal to an IR loader.

I got a great deal on a Boss Tube Expander that was more practical for what I am doing these days.

I’ve read good things about the JohnH attenuator…if you’re handy you can diy or I think a few companies sell them.

Check out the giant threads on the Marshall Forum.

For what you get I don't think you can beat the st rock react II. It has an attenuator, load bank, IR loaded, etc.

The only downside is it needs to be powered. But you get a swiss army knife that you can use in the studio, at home, etc for what you'll pay for a good attenduator.

If you want a cheap passive solution keep looking, but I'd buy this over an Ironman or something similar.

I second this on the Bugera PS1. I’ve used them for years now without any issues. They are no frills but built well.
