I'm happy with my sound right now with the setup I have but I just bought an empty Mills 2x12 to match the 4x12.

The 4x12 has V30 and sounds great. I have access to some Mesa V30 I can throw in the 2x12 but I wanted to try something different. Was thinking about Eminence Legend V12 because Ive heard they are great for metal and they're only like $75 each which is appealing.

I wanted to see some other options as well. I have the other V30 to fall back on while I save up so the budget is open but I'm not looking to spend too much money on speakers. I've never done too much extensive research on this. Scumback, 65's, Creamback and Fane all seem interesting but which will be best for my setup and brutal metal sound is the question.

Bogner Rev 2, Mills 212, ESP with BKP Miracle Man are my other tools.

I love Scumback H55/H75LDC in my Mills 412. I bet one of each would sound good in the 212. I also love J75/v30 combo and the Creamback H75/v30 combo as well. Can't go wrong with any of those mixes for metal tones.

Scumbacks are great. Especially the M75's.
I find the V30/G12T-75 combo sounds killer.

I like that combo too but want to try something different. Gonna get a matched pair too for whatever I decide on.

If you want different I would look into the new Fane F90. If they would have had reasonable shipping to Canada I would have bought one for my Archon. I ended up going for an Avatar/Fane M65. The F90 is supposed to be awesome for Metal, and like all Fanes are very clear sounding.

That's what I've got in my Mills and it kills. Had four V30's when I got it, and it was just too much V30. Put in a couple of 75's and BOOM, there it is.

Definitely a contender. Was looking at their site last night.

Honestly my top 3 are Legend V12, Fane Or Scumback. The Fane are kind of pricey tho but I kind of want them.

Was trying to find comparison vids with any of these and no luck.

There are some good videos of the Avatar Fane speakers the M65, and H70. The H70 is the Fane F70 but with a large dust cap to roll off some of the highs. From the reading I have done Fryette had a lot of input into the design, and voicing of the new fanes. Once I get my M65 I'll be sure to do a NSD thread, but since I am selling my house there might be some delays.

Another good option is the Jensen Electric Lightning. I have those in my Forte cabs, and they are killer
