This is the hum/noise I've been dealing with for the longest time. Both of my guitars do it. All of my amps do it. No clue what's causing it.

Not me in the video, but this guy is dealing with the same thing. Amp on, nothing plugged in = no noise.

Plug a guitar in with guitar volume off = no noise.

Roll the guitar volume up = crazy hum. Even on clean channels. Sometimes it's as loud or even louder than the guitar itself.

Dirty power maybe?

You might wanna consider investing in a voltage regulator. Like the Furman P-1800 AR. It is about 900 bucks new though.

Yeah, I was looking into this. But I don't believe it will solve this problem as the amp is quiet on its own. The problem happens when I turn the guitar's volume up. i.e. I doubt it's dirty power from the wall. And I've read lots of reports of people buying a Furman and it doing absolutely nothing. But I've been looking at the P-1800 AR and PFR.

do you have dimmer switches in your house?

Nope. Actually, there may be a dimmer in a room on the other side of the building. But it's never used. It's always off.

I've tried turning off everything I can: lights, WIFI, TV, etc. Doesn't help. Unless my guitar pickups are capturing WIFI from neighbors? My computer's drop-down WIFI menu is showing almost 30 WIFI signals in the area right now. Not to mention the city buses (electric) are right outside my door. So the power lines the busses use are floating overhead everywhere. But this happens in other areas where there are no buses too.
