Of Arc Angels and Clapton sideman fame. I got two of his solo albums this past weekend and they are both killer. Great songs and tones abound!

I first heard of him watching the Roger Waters Live DVD 'In The Flesh' did great justice to David Gilmour. That's a must see if you haven't seen it.
Great player!

i was listening to one of his self titled releases probably ten years ago. he's got some great tone and chops for sure. he's a chip off the old block. his dad could play too.

I teched for him for the Arc Angels a few times. Super nice guy when you get to know him (or when he gets to know you, actually). We had a killer rig back then...'71 Super Bass into a '73 Marshall 412. A few pedals, some strats and a tele or two. Simple and killer.

I currently work for Bob Dylan and tech for Charlie Sexton who just came back to the band. Kinda weird in an Arc Angel kinda way!

If you haven't already, get the Album "Welcome" by Doyle Bramhall 2 & Smokestack. SMOKING tones on that one - recorded live in one room together (plenty of mic bleed) with Craig Ross (of Lenny Kravitz fame) on 2nd guitar. One of my favorite records. We actually cover "Problem Child" off that record with my band -- really fun guitar battle in it!

Yep, that's one of the albums I bought. That and his more recent which I think is self-titled. Loving both of them. I had the Arc Angels album since it was first out, but it sounds kinda dated to me now.

+1.
He uses a left handed guitar strung up for right handed correct? Or is it the other way around? He also used a Yamaha amp on that DVD, I think(?)

Yup, CAA OD100 Classic Plus. Best amp I've ever owned (and I've owned A LOT of amps). Thanks for the kind words!
