The heel of the guitar takes hours to blend it with the body and all done by hand due to years of experience, uses different grits as the work gets nearer to completion.

I wonder why they dont just make the neck straight thru then glue on wings for the body. Seems like you would get better interaction that way and a wee bit less work.

That would be less work no doubt, I think Hamer just does it old school like the old days.

Gotcha, nice work nonetheless. Wish you were closer so you could play my 5 string I did. 5 piece laminate neck thru, mohangany wings with quilted maple tops on the wings. Resonates like a mofo. ;)

Hard to beat a Hamer for quality of construction. Those guys are serious about building guitars. That factory is awesome as well, very picturesque right on the river like it is.

What's with the Kahler??? That's like a bumper sticker on a BMW.

Of course. But if you put up another poll, I'd bet that's not just my opinion ;)

i agree with rupe - a gotoh, OFR, or hard tail would look much, much better on that guitar than that :scared:

Somebody for some odd reason wanted a Kahler, I do not think people order trems by how they look.

its so easy on a forum to read a post and see it turned a wrong way - meaning wise.

throw the tone book into the equation and someone could use a block of wood there if they wanted - im just saying i do agree with rupe in that it looks like ass on the guitar - compared to other options. that doesnt mean it sounds that way.

each person has they own needs. amazing guitar and build quality regardless :D

Is that a Kahler? Didn't know Hamer still used them.

EDIT: Didn't read all the posts in the thread, lol...

i had the poll about the Hamer Standards.

i'm gonna get one, just gotta decide new or used, and have thought about avoiding the Christmas shipping cluster fuck. seems like lots of stuff gets beat up in the shipping rush.
