Lets see some pics!! I am looking to get a Kenai. I am fired up!!

I play the Kenai and all i can say is that the craftmanship, woods and hardware is top notch. Sustain is unbelievible, the tone is alive, not muffled. Its prs level. I bet you can buy it unplayed but sure its better to compare different kenais.

Knaggs? Doesn't Chippy have like 10 of them for every day of the week or one to match every color of Steve Stevens hair dye?

The Steve Stevens models are fantastic. SS2 being the best of the various runs by far IMO.

Wasn't there someone on here who had one or two and posted some cool videos of his teenage son playing them?

Couldn't be mailman cause he just posts videos of him playing with teenage boys.

I'm sure they're awesome guitars, but god damn they just look awful to me..

I feel the exact same way. From my limited experience with them, they're top notch. But I wouldn't even begin to consider buying one based on their looks.

Yup, +1 here too, fugly.

I like the look of them, but they are priced above
my threshold for a players plank

Dude........really?
Yeah, 'fraid so. Lovely woods and Joe Knaggs obviously has a great reputation so I'm not knocking the build in the slightest, it's just the visual doesn't work for me at all. Especially that one with the pickguard and the tiered / forearm cut thing. But to each their own..

funny to me how many guys that don't like the Knaggs look have some of the gaudiest pointy headstock axes I've seen since 1980's...

j/k, sort of - but it is sort of funny - to each their own

I'm sorry to those who like the look of Knaggs, but I'm gonna have to agree 100%. I've always thought the Knaggs's look awkward. Honestly, I don't care for the look of a lot of other guitars though. I find Suhr's and Charvel's to be very bland looking, but not ugly or anything. Honestly, the only guitars that I really like the look of to the point where I want them more because of it are the right Les Pauls and PRS's

I really like the Kenai and Severn, the looks that is, but the Keya, I think that one is pretty ugly.

I've never gotten to try a Knaggs, so excuse my ignorance, but given that he used to work for PRS Private Stock and some of you guys are saying they're as good as PRS, why not just get a nice PRS instead. I'd think they'd probably hold they're value better and they're also 1000x better looking, but I could be totally missing something since I've never tried a Knaggs, but have tried plenty of PRS's and like them quite a bit

I'm going to go out on a limb and say I don't like the looks of PRS guitars either..
I love the tops, but the shape does nothing for me. I owned a Custom 22 for a few days and I just didn't bond with it so I returned it to GC..no mojo at all

To each their own. I still have never owned a PRS, but I find them to be some of the nicest and classiest looking guitars out there, especially the Modern Eagle Quattro in the Jeans Blue finish. I've played some PRS's that I thought were just ok, and some that I really liked. I'd be curious to compare it to some of my guitars like my Mayones Regius, which is one of my favorite super strat type guitars

I didnt like the look of them, talked all kinds of crap about thier looks, and price. Then I played one, and it was over. I had to have one. Now I want another. i have had gibson historics, and EVH usa, fender custom shop and luxxtone, and nothing plays and sustains like a Knaggs. the thing rings like a bell. the ssc is the les paul gibson should be making but dont. all the draw backs about the les paul are fixed and perfected with that guitar. the b string stays in tune, its so easy to play, the strings bend effortlessly, the upper neck access is perfect, its well balanced. they are much nicer in person. go play one.

Got to agree with the SSC praise. It is really a nice guitar. I own 2 and both are the loudest unplugged of any electric I've ever played. The Severn is very nice too, but i am not a fan of that double purffed 'guitar within a guitar' look that some of them have. I've played a Severn with dual humbuckers and the Knaggs Trem, which was VERY nice. The fit and finish are excellent, the new SSC's that are coming out have a ton of different looks, paint schemes, relic'd, this is one of the best guitars the make right now IMHO.
