Who has played the Gower Rockmonster? Amazing amp.

This is true. However in my case, Dan took the time to find a good amp, and sourced me one out of the UK. I was pleased as its in fantastic condition. can't wait to get it. I will be happy to post some clips for you!

He did a 4 gain stage deal on it, with the clean and the loops and other accouterments. It's different from the Killer Kali no doubt. More old school. Merren transformers -

Here is a description by Dan on the differences between the KK++ and the Rockmonster. I inquired about it when I was debating on what mod I wanted from Dan.

The original Cali Mod was 3 stages + diode clip and was like a variation of Jose's mod.
The KK++ is the Cali but instead of diodes it has the extra tube stage. So the KK++ is like a Cali on steroids IMO. Lots of gain but open sounding and not majorly compressed.

The RockMonster has 5 gain stages and overall probably the same amount of gain on tap as the KK++. But since this is 5 gain-stages, it has some extra compression and a thicker tone too.
It's midrange has that singing quality when you play solos and it cuts like a knife in a band mix, but it's definitely more of a wider/beefier sound overall.

An original Jose mod can get very heavy!! Check out this original Jose that Mike Fortin owns!! Demoed by Ola Englund!!

Are you going to get every option.....clean channel, effects loop and so on? How long before you get it?

I have a nearly 30 year old JCM800 that was meant to be modded by PRS, but I never had the money to get it done back then. So since I already have it I would have to ship it to him, so yeah the cost goes up from there. This is why I was thinking of having him source out a JVM410H from the UK and having him work his magic on that. At least that amp is more versatile from the get go and only needs a tonal adjustment or two.

Amp is currently being worked on. Will let you know when it arrives and I'll post the pics, clips, and explain the Mods n such.
Again, if you haven't dealt with Dan on an amp before, you are in for a great ride! I simply cannot tell you how refreshing it is to deal with somebody of Dans caliber.
Dan is absolutely top shelf.

Ok, Sorry for late reply, have been dealing with a parent with serious health issues, things been ridiculous busy.

Just wanted to drop a quick line and say Dan is a GENIUS, and this is the best sounding amp i have EVER owned. The definition, clarity, and tone is so much better than i could have ever expected. I'm going to be testing out some different tube configurations, and will be taking some pics and heck, i'll throw in some audio clips. I must say, Ive had most of them, Marshall's, Cameron's, Mesa's, boutiques, etc. etc, and this Gower just outshines them all. Granted, different strokes for different folks, but i tell you, i can dial in whatever i could want or need. Depending on which mod you want, or a custom job, Dan can do it all. Yes, don't discard what others say. Read the forums! read the reviews! They are spot on. And i promise you, (as others have mentioned) as a person, you can do NO better than Dan Gower. He is absolutely TOP SHELF! He is extremely patient, and wants to make you happy, and will take whatever it takes to get the sound your searching for. Extremely knowledgable, takes the time to answer any question you have, and i had many...lol. He is interested in each and every customer, as a person, not just another paycheck that walks through the door. To me, that goes beyond all, and why he has my business from now on.

Hey Metal! I'm currently trying to recoop some $$$ I forked out on some guitars earlier this year., but was gonna pickup another head for Dan to mod. Had been eyeballing the Sylosis mod, but that KK++ may just be in the list too! Uugghhh, why did you have to post those pics of your amp! $$$!

Yuppers! That was Moons! Ha, tried to talk him outta selling it. Ya, Just a killer amp! It partially cause of Moons reviews is why I chose the Rockmonster mod, and have never looked back.
