I'm currently framing my basement to build a video game/gear room. The living room/bedroom is my jam space and that's just getting to be impossible with my 16 month old daughter running around.

SO, I was thinking of cool man-cave setups and thought of several of you guys here that have cool home studio setups. There are tons of cool ones: Steve_k, Zombieland's "red room", Brad, dawnofdreamx, nbarts, Little B, J.B....all killer.

I'd say my favorite is boof's room though. That is a man-cave with some mojo! His own little tone lab.

who is the guy on here with the music room setup like the bridge of the starship Enterprise, it was all black and had spot lighting, he had a captains chair in the midst of the cool gear. That was the coolest music setup I have ever seen.... and he played well, just to add to the man cave envy....

Isn't that the one I posted above???

Well hell I WAS going to post a pic, but fuck it. Nope, I can't follow that

that lighting is perfect...

Black walls with pot lighting = nice!

Noted for when I build the mancave in the basement

Im getting ready to frame out a basement 1100sqft with my big screen L shaped sofa Mini fridge and a bar along with my gear in my pic. Im working out the recessed light layout and the electrical. The ceiling is already sound proofed with 12 inches of sound/insulation. I will post pics when I start framing.

Now the pic is visible.... yep. That is pretty cool.

Not nearly as sweet as the one posted above and I have moved things around to hide the cables but here is the current one.

only regret was that I didn't build the desk with enough room for a 4x12 under it. Lighting is key and can change the mood and feel of the room dramatically.
20 down halogen lights. (4 used for the closets)
4 halagen track lights
6 halogen adjustable spotlights on two tracks
8 "regualr" bulb lamps
2 halogen desk lamps (on top of the cubes)
16 blue LED up lights.

from when I first moved in and before I went off the deep end with gear (the LEDs only look good when all the other lights are off)
back of the room

The lady cave is just a jam room. Here is my wall...

The other side has an electric and an acoustic drum kit. I don't have good pics but this is one of his kits (he does not keep his side of the room clean) :gethim: ...

Boof's place rules, it looks like a mancave/bomb shelter. I'm guessing its also 2000 ft underground and has an elevator with a retina scan entry system.
