friedman phil-x, before that cameron atomica (wish i still had that one) and a old bitch. live i find i stay on one channel and it is easier to roll back volume rather than get a clean channel set up in the mix, then again i rarely use clean

I have two.

I bought a used Marshall JTM45 reissue for $600 off of a dude on the old Plexi Palace forum back in early 2Ks.

In 2003, I modded it to vintage ~1966 JTM45 specs using Lord Valve's instructions. This included a PTP board and components, new OT, lower filtering, Mullards, VA KT66s, etc.

Then 10 years later I modded it again to be more like a Superlead front end and modded the back end to handle EHX 6CA7s. And it runs off a variac (100v) now.

I also have a bone-stock, all original '67 Fender Deluxe with the original glass (RCA, Bugle Boy, Telefunken, etc) and the original Fender amp cover. It had been sitting in some dude's mom's house in her closet for decades. He had bought it new in the late sixties and was in a band after high school but then put away the band thing after a few years for college or something, and his mom held onto the amp for him.

Did I mention I have one of these??

Always been a one channel kinda guy. Mostly modded Marshalls.

Even though I've had channel switchers, I always only ude one channel. Right now im using modded 2203, José marshall, Pleximan and a Metro-Plex.

I'm a one channel guy. I rock a JCM 800 2204 and a 50w plexi.
I use some kind of boost (right now the Suhr koko) for leads and roll back the volume for cleans. I always thought the channels in multi-channel amps where poorly matched. I need some kind of base-tone to fall back on and with all the channels sounding completely different I feel lost. If I had a channel switcher I'd probably use it as a single channel amp.

I'm kind of into amp tweaking as well and the urge to build a Marshall-flavoured amp with 4 gainstages and exeptional dynamics (cleans up great with the volume) has struck me hard on the head lately. Have built a few amps before but this one would be built on my own ideas and personal preferences. No diodes needed! I'm getting quite tired of seeing amps that sells for 3-4000$ implementing a cheap trick like diodes instead of actually using what you've got to get the amount of gain needed. I see it everywhere! Cameron (ocean, CCV, HG jose,) , Friedman (BE-100), Wizard (MC I and II) etc. You can get massive amounts of gain from the two preamp tubes in a Marshall if you skip the cathode follower and turn it into a fourth gainstage instead.

1959SLP reissue, I use a Bad Cat unleash and run the delays through the loop on the attenuator. Nice and gritty, hit it in the face with a TS style pedal and gets some great sounds.

My Soldano Hot Rod 25 is 2 channels but the OD channel is the only one I visit 99% of the time. Use the volume knob to clean up the tone and crank it for the everything else.
