the 808 from the 70's is the one that they basically try to copy over and over again. Pretty sure it was said already but i didnt read through the thread. Apologies if im repeating.

POWER SCREAMER from HBE its a boost and overdrive. they have different options too, i have the one with the FAT BOOST option i love it, you should check that one out. I use it with a MESA STILETTO.

Once you get the Tubescreamer, take it down to Fat Sounds in Cary (15 minutes from Raleigh) and A/B it with a Boiling Point. That will set you straight
