I've mentioned this before. I sorta liked Toto but was never a fan of Lukather's tone. The new DVD "Falling In Between Live" is absolutely killer. On that DVD Lukather's tone is awesome. That DVD inspired me to pick up the new Lukather solo CD...EXCELLENT!

Steve uses the EMG 85/SLV/SLV set-up which sounds great. The SLV is an alnico strat voiced single coil that matches the output level of the 85. I'm thinking about putting a strat together with that set-up in it.

I love my EMGs too man! Try a 85 / S / SLV setup. That's my favorite! That S blends REALLY well with the 85 and the SLV.
