I am looking into getting something like the Keeley Caverns pedal. It is a Reverb/Delay in a single pedal where you can use the FX seperate or together.

I need to hear more demos but for me the Caverns is just too over the top for what I want. The verb is VERY big and ambient.

I am looking for something a little more subtle. VFE used to do this I think but they are slowing down and idk if they offer this anymore.

Are there any other companies that make a pedal similar to the Caverns or can do a custom 2 in 1?

I have the caverns. you can dial back the reverb. they probably just show the huge levels of reverb in the demos to show what it can do but if you dial it back it can do subtle too. the shimmer verb setting is very ambient but the other two options aren't as much.

its an awesome pedal. I used to have the EQD dispatch master but really prefer the caverns bc it has separate footswitches for reverb and delay.

combining reverb and delay is an typically an ambient sound so I think the pedals that have them both are going to be geared that way but you could also try the EQD disaster transport sr or the keeley delay and reverb workstation.

Thanks, I was looking at the Workstation too but couldn't find any demos. I definitely need the seperate switches. I guess the Keeley is the best bet and you're probably right about the demos. I couldn't find any proper run throughs that go through all of the settings.

EQD makes a dispatch master witch you can use each effect independent. it is really good. delay, reverb

was curious about this for a tiny board. Good enough and comparable to the usual delay and reverb suspects for simple lead and chord work?

How is the noise if any?

The Strymon El Capistan has a good spring reverb on board. Can be subtle or more drenched and sounds awesome combined with the great delay sounds.

Other than that, maybe the Earthquaker Avalanche Run or Dispatch Master. I think the new Empress Reverb has an echo mode too.

I own one they have zero noise floor big cavernous reverbs and great delays or a mix of both well worth the money. Each effect can work independently if you want. It is pretty impressive for something in a small package.
