ok, i went to my guitar center and every les paul that i was interested either sounded or played like shit. I played the ESP eclipse in snow white and OMG it felt really nice. i was wondering who else makes a decent priced les paul style guitar?

edwards, isn't that the japan version of esp except there guitars are almost exact replica's?

My Gibby sounds great! :dunno: Maybe I just got lucky, but I love the tone I get and It plays awesome!

I've seen alot of people rave about these, but they seem WAY too expensive for what they are. By the time you get one shipped here, you'd have spent almost as much as it would cost to get a Gibson.

More or less. But they are very high quality and a killer value. Best to buy them on ebay

Heritage makes Les Pauls the way they're supposed to be made. If you can get past the headstock, you won't find a better LP style guitar.

You can get an Edwards for $850+ on ebay.Tokai are good, for the price they are awsome
guitars. Can't beat it,not to mention Gibson is hit and miss with they're LP's.
Heritage are SUPER expensive.

Can you not tell a quality gtr and even if it is not set up to your liking? PUPs can be changed... String setup can be changed...

My suggestion is learn a gtr for what it offers. experience teaches you this.

This, by a country mile.

You can find used Heritages any day of the week for $1000, which IMO is a steal.

the esp eclipse is a decent guitar, if you can find a full thickness one that most deff blows the usa eclipse out the water

i had the paul landers ctm a year ago but sold it, and my friend had the full thickness silverburst eclipse and that guitar was insane, 100x better than the ones they sell over here

those heritages are the tits

Hamers are amazing if you can handle the double cut look. I would put up my $165 Korean model to any LP at GC right now.

Same here. I own several ESP Eclipses and have owned a Edwards and Heritage before. All of them are good guitars but to me none of them compare to a good Gibson Les Paul.

i went to my guitar center
IMO that is your whole problem.

I won`t say that I disagree, but the problem is that the `good` Gibbies are harder to find. How many do you have to go through to find that good one? I can buy a McNaught single-cut sight unseen and rest assured that it will NOT be a tone turd.
