Same, i dug the first clip most - both clips get highlighted that the amp isn't as tight on the low end around the 40 second mark where it does the gallops, though its more obvious in the second clip, neither one has the super quick gunshot response

The eq on the first clip is really really close to the original though, i'm impressed

Glad everyone digs it! As far as the low end on the second clip, thanks for the input! It’s an easy fix, but it’s also a pain in the ass to get right once you start bringing up that 200-350 hz region like I did to thicken it up. Either way, jons tone was, outside of in flames “clayman” record, the one that made me just go “ holy shit, how do you get a sound like that”? I remember listening to something wicked loud as hell in my house around Christmas time for the first time, 1999-2000 or so. Super nostalgic, the coming curse will always make me feel something most music never will.

Thanks for the input! This just goes to show you how much small things can drastically change your tone/mix. The reality is there is multiple different ways to add weight/thickness to guitars without actual eq, and against my better judgment, that’s exactly what I did. All I really did was add a 1073 plugin from UAD, which often can blow out your low end more than people realize, as you see here. That little change caused that much of a drastic shift in the low end. There was alittle maybe 1 db boost broad at 350hz, but that was it.
