Been racking my brain but can't remember any of the tips I've picked up from the cooking channels. I learn all this stuff then forget it 'cause I live on rabbit food due to health challenges. You know how it goes - if you don't put theory into practice it's quickly-forgotten.
If I were pressed to come up with something I'd probably suggest salt, pepper, garlic and rosemary in an olive-oil baste. Could also try tying rosemary sprigs around the body so they're held in contact with the skin as it roasts.
