Here's some more pics before it left the land of Moose and Snow.....really showcases the guitar better.

Peekaboo flame. That's fucking bitchin' Steve. My Keebler replica does that, too, although it's a dark burst finish. Hope it sounds as good as it looks!

Damn son! Tom does aging better than I have ever seen!!

It's difficult to play with a big stiffler all the time....

The action and fretwork is amazing on the Brazilian board. It sounds terrific and plays itself. I just sit back and listen :D

I haven't really eyed all the detail yet as it's been plugged in most waking and non-working hours since it got here.

Yep, it's very subtle and aged in the finish, rather than dings, cuts, whiskey dent's, buckle rash, etc. in the wood.

that top is amazing

What you really can't see in the photo's is that at certain angles, you see the flame really stand out, say when looking down at the guitar with it slung. Then when looking straight at the top, you see very little of the flame in the maple and more of the horizontal grain and mineral streaks. It's almost like a hologram in the right light.

And, the back is a natural cherry over the mahogany, rather than the typical LP red or whatever its called.

Sir steve,
Knew u would luv it. The aging first of all is old growth.
Then the finish is old nitro lacquers with no plasticers. All the woods, chemicals, build processes are painstakingly searched and acquired from all over the world. Therefore checking starts soon. Just like in the old days. No faked razor cuts to imitate checking. Now to know the correct specs.., is to have the real deals in hands and thoroughly dissected, which has been done and thoroughly tested. Only when the real deals have been worked on / restored over the years can such a detailed correct build happen. And this is it.

Man...I absolutely love that finish!

It's not a custom job but I will be getting my first Gibson sometime this week. It's a 2013 LP Traditional Vintage Cherry Sunburst. I will be sure to post a NGD when it arrives.

Congrats!

Well, come on big fella. Get that camera out and let's see it's mate... :D

But you are spot on. This is about as real as it gets, unless you got $250K to drop on one. Playing this guitar is better than getting laid the first time, and lasts much longer.

I really like that kind if flame. While the modern RI guitars look cool with that really 'loud' tiger stripe flame, it just looks over the top and fake to me. I really like the top on yours.

I like the flame and all the grain you can see in the wood. It looks so authentic.

You'll be selling that Yaron fast enough! This is the real deal!
What did you dislike about the Yaron that you played that lead you to believe that Bartlett does it better?

It's still getting fixed. Will be cool to do a comparison when it gets finished.

I would buy another from Tom in a minute though.

very coolio, and i'm no gibson fan, but very cool

Awesome Steve. But was there ever any doubt?.....
