yep, MF claims to have to Floyded one in stock, and it looks pretty good.
ESP and thier LTD'S have been pretty good about putting OUT damned nice playing guitars, might of had some dude wood here and there with LTD's, but it would still play nice. some people claim thier QC slipped recently, but i don't know, they've damn sure got a pretty good track record for QC.
neck dropping is all i'd worry about with them on certain models, think they use truck axles for truss rods. some of the goofy shapes don't hang very good like the Stars and Explorer.

I have one and it is cool but nothing like a Les Paul other than the shape, much thinner body and plays more like a "Super Strat" than a Les Paul to me. It looks badass (love the satin finish) but does not have the bottom end or tone of my Les Pauls.
Now they do make a full body thickness model that might be closer.

You've gotta pay attention to which model you're buying. The standard Eclipse is NOT the full thickness of a Les Paul. I think they may be making a full thickness Eclipse now (I used to be quite knowledgeable about ESP, but I've fallen out of the loop), but you'll need to make sure you're getting exactly what you want.

i have a custom shop eclipse, i love the guitar, it holds it tuning just fine and sounds awsome, i wouldnt say it sounds like a les paul but it does sound nice.
i also have a jh3 hetfield model eclipse that is the regular gibson thickness and its one of my best sounding and playing guitars, definately a keeper.

Wow! Zao those are wicked. Great guitars there especially the full thickness Hetfield. I would love to have that!

theres a thread on the esp board about the new 2009 stuff but no fullthickness eclipse, the willie adler model was ft but that was the only model currently, theres a new limited hetfield iron cross esp coming namm 09 and it might be ft but its still hard to tell from the pics of him playing it live.

I have an EC-1000. It's not just a great guitar for the money...it's amazing for the money. If I were you though, I would get an EC-500 instead. It's the same build quality as the EC-1000, but without the gaudy abalone binding and no locking tuners. I wish I had known more about that model before I bought my 1000. I love it, but the flashy binding and gold get to me sometimes. One other thing about the EC's is that they come with EMG (well 95% of them). I personally hate those and end up replacing them with passives, which involves replacing ALL of the electronics in the guitar.

btw, is it true that they play more like superstrats? because I sold my Edwards Goldtop because I honestly didn't jive with it that well after a year.....and I'm too used to strats honestly... but I'd really like a les paul shape guitar.

neither of mine feel like superstrats, the jh3 hetfield model feels more like a lp because of the thicker body, the eclipse custom feels more like a sg but the body is better balanced, my custom shop version ec is heavier than the standard series ec i used to have.
