Doesn't work on Android, guys. Apple only so far...buddy of mine picked up a used iPad mini is new condition for like $200, though.

This is a good question for JR.

Not sure about contracts and legal obligations but is there a forseeable chance of this hitting the android market.

If so will the purchases be transferable?

Not until Android OS fixes the audio latency issue.

OK so after consulting Dr. Stein I am eager to try. Hopefully I will come back and put my foot in mouth.

I still can't see this replacing my tube amp but at the very least it should replace my amp sims.

Hey Maddnotez! That sounds cool, give it a try, I'm sure you'll enjoy it. Now, regarding Android, it depends if they fix the audio latency issue in the near future. And the purchases are independent for each OS.

who needs Line 6/modeling stuff when you got apps that cost less than two bottles of water that sounds like this?

Thanks! And I loved your clinic video, total SHRED. What kind of PA did you use with Ampkit? sounds really neat. Have you tried the same setup with JamUp?

That was Ampkit

I posted a couple quick clips I did with it last week. Using it on the iPhone right now, but will hopefully be upgrading to an iPad for it soon. My iPhone 4 just doesn't have the processor muscle to run it in the low latency mode without popping in the signal.

For the money, I can't find any faults in it.

Have you tried closing all other apps and run it on plane mode? That usually solves that problem.

Ive been using awhile. Love it. Im a trucker. I take my 7 string on the road with me and use my ipad 2 with JUPxt. Great practice tool. Great sounds. Easy to make great sounds. Love the Merow/Ola stuff the best. Ive used it in garageband and also auria. I like garageband better.best guitar app hands down.

I always shut down my other apps, but haven't put it in plane mode, will try that tonight. Thanks!

I use it for practice. I find the 8 track a little hard to use compared to garageband. (for recording ideas) Studio recording, is it good enough for that? Got any good tips on how to use it in the studio JR ?

Actually, you can record JamUp on Garageband through Audiobus, it's the easiest way to record with JamUp, check this out and give it a try:

I use the Apogee Jam interface to run JamUp Pro in my iPhone. If its late at night I'll just use my Sennheiser HD280's to play along, otherwise I can connect the iPhone speaker out to my stereo receiver and crank it up. Sounds great! $20 for a great sounding app plus the cost of the interface (Apogee Jam was $99 - used for $60). There are other, less expensive interfaces though.
