I use the Apogee Jam interface to run JamUp Pro in my iPhone. If its late at night I'll just use my Sennheiser HD280's to play along, otherwise I can connect the iPhone speaker out to my stereo receiver and crank it up. Sounds great! $20 for a great sounding app plus the cost of the interface (Apogee Jam was $99 - used for $60). There are other, less expensive interfaces though.

Took a page out of your book and hooked it to the PA my wife and daughter use to sing thru with their phones...that shizz is THUNDEROUS! Basically a 200 SS power amp thru monitors...damn it was loud! Thanks for the tip!

JR, when will we see the Fluff patch????

I can actually see 4 of them in the Tone Sharing cloud with the tag "fluff"

So you can actually combine/mix/match of existing amp packs and share?

That is pretty cool.

I think I need to visit the site to read more, Ive dl the lite. Just need to order the plug.

Edit: Where can I find this tone sharing cloud???

Go to the main JamUp display, then you'll see on the lower right section the "SHARE" button, tap on it and load any patch you want, make sure you have the desired amp/fx purchased before so it can load in properly.

Just got this and the amp pack that has the Laney and Engl. sound much more "lively" than Peavey's offering. The only issue I have is that when I'm playing along to tracks from my playlists on my iPhone, I get very weird warbling sounds.

I should note I'm using a 2 year old iLink to connect. Anything recommended besides the Apogee?

how do you guys record with the 8 track? anybody wanna do a tutorial?

Buddy of mine that ran a modded JVM for shows is using this instead...he picked up an iRigHD and says its awesome...I use the Jam and its good; think the iRig is cheaper though.

Those are both at about $100. I wonder how the proprietary one is just for practice purposes.

For just dicking around the Jamplug is fine, that's what I started with just to see if I used the app enough. Those clips I posted were recorded with it.

I did however pick up the Apogee to try out, and as to be expected, the sound quality is much better to my ears.

My hope is to find something that sounds better than the damn iLink. I assume that is the weak link when trying to play along with songs.

I had to resurrect this.

Many on here know I am great at putting my foot in my mouth and jumping to conclusions.

Positive Grid has taught me a great Lesson and I wish to take back what I said in here.

I got Jamup and Bias. I bought the Apogee One. After a long wait for the correct cable I plugged this in through an old free pa head into my 4x12 and was completely blown away.

I could indeed see this replacing an amp upon first impression.

That is to be continued....

I tweaked one amp on the fly and haven't really messed with it a lot.

It also has been a while since I sold my VHT pit bull. That amp produced the best tone I've had after extensive tube testing, pup swaps and lots of heartache but Bias sounds great out of the gate.

Completely blown away.

Through headphones I did notice a hint of the "modular" sound but I haven't heard that through the power amp and cab. Lots more testing to do but holy fucking shit. A $9 app and $100 converter competes with many many amps, I still can't believe it.

Anyway, I'm a bit bummed I didn't get the line6 adapter that charges your phone/iPad but I haven't tested the battery life yet and it highly doubt I'd have any issues with that.

I forgot about this; figured you either didn't get it or hated it. Dude, for cleans and super lush warm delays, check out a $7 app called Flying Haggis. It's awesome.

No I definitely love Bias. I just had to wait a month for the lightning pin cable.

I am still trying to fix the slight noise and tweak the free noise gate, so far that's my only complaint.

Sounds brutal man.

I'm trying to import and share a clip from the 8 track but I'm having some issue with the cab impulse. Wondering if GarageBand is any different. Or maybe I should record with the bias cab and not bypass it?

Anyway back on track, Can you import flying haggis to jamup?

GarageBand is a lot easier to use, and it's free on an iPad, man. You can upload direct to your Soundcloud from it....take about 2 minutes. Just copy the link after upload and paste it here.

Flying Haggis is the same thing as JamUp......it's a guitar sim app. Looks like this:

Seriously...sounds analog. The delays are warm and shimmery, and it sounds great. You can move the mic and choose different cabs, too. It does NOT do high gain though.....I've been using it for cleans and OD sounds with chorus and delays and it's badass. There are presets, and they sound pretty good, but you can tweak em for volume levels and what not....if you play clean at all, GET THIS APP.

Here's a clip I did in like 2 minutes....excuse the sloppy playing, my woman was on my ass to go eat...was more to get a tone out there than anything. Any questions, hit me up.

Yup, for me BIAS sounds great and replace some of my gear, got a bit noise, the noise can turn the noise off totally, wonderful :)
