I walked out of the only Trivium show I saw. Yes they can play, but there's something missing from the music... It seems a bit too formulated, kind of 'this bit Metallica, this bit Machine Head'. Then again, I grew up a thrash kiddie when things were a bit hit & miss to say the least, but it was a lot more fun!

EDIT: as an example I love Nuclear Assault. They're absolute rubbish, but I don't care - it's all in the vibe. This is the diametric opposite from Trivium who try so hard not to be rubbish it all sounds a bit forced.

FWIW, I don't think Trivium are as gay as Bullet for My Valentine or As I Lay Dying, but they are gay. The other two are Über-Ghey.
