or, just as a possible crazy idea, the guitars are actually fucking good!!?? which is why they use more ideas of his because they kickass!!!?? what the hells wrong with that?

I have no problems with Trivium. They're sort of what Metallica should be now.

no, cause that would mean Trivium would be broken up.

I like As I Lay Dying.. No wait, Everytime I Die. I'm confused. I must be gay or not because I don't get IT.

Oooooo, Touché!

thought i'd bring my own input to this.

I like the older trivium, and used to love them. The way i see it is that there are wayyy better bands out there, but they are good players (hell, i certainly can't play half as good as matt heafy, let alone corey *insert surname which i cant spell here*), get some form of guitar playing on the radio, and possibly the most important thing, they supply a passion for guitar playing to the younger generation, who, lets face it, most of their fans are. Go around any schools in my area asking about favourite metal bands and you will get a lot of trivium answers and what is considered pussy metal. Go around a college, sixth form or the upper years of schools and you will hear things such as arch enemy, machine head, iron maiden etc.

they may not be the best, in some eyes they may be crap, but they do one thing - INSPIRE the younger generations to pick up an instrument, which matters a lot, In my honest opinion

  loved the abscence comment

"well i think they lost their drummerrrrr soooo....."

Man, how i would laugh if travis just upped and left them. That's another point, their drummer's pretty good. When i saw them live he impressed me! :)

haha i renember that. at least they took it on the chin.

most of it for me, are the super generic writing style, tone, and beats. plus the image they use just oozes cock rock. there are alot of young bands who are playing much better stuff with a toned down image.

And most bands don't call the crowd "pussies" and other various synonyms.... I swear, after that concert I went to, I'll never acknowledge them again.

Perhaps they have the playing skeels, but they couldn't write their way out of a wet paper bag.
