I don't understand. Are you trying to talk yourself out of buying one?

There's always room for one of these in the toolbox.

I saw that the other day and about...threw up...yeah...that's it... That is absolutely horrible looking and NO ONE could possibly want that sitting around their home studio.

I agree.

have had mine for 2 years now. wouldn't trade it for anything in your list. or anything else for that matter. best piece of gear I've ever bought.

Love my Kemper, best gear purchase I've ever made too and I have a pretty good collection of amps and cabs.

I can see where the OP is coming from. I am in a similar situation. While I know the Kemper is a great piece of gear, my amps kick major ass and the Kemper would not improve upon what I have.

I tend to dial all amps to sound like the tone in my head and combined with my playing I tend to sound the same on most amps. That's fine because it's the tone I want. Buying a Kemper to get what I already have with my amps is pointless.

I know it is a miracle for many but for a simple guy with limited needs like myself an amp may be the better solution.

Flame away if you must but, I'm sure the Kemper would not sound better to my ears than my amps and Rock Crusher. You can't get better than 100% absolute satisfaction.

I had a Kemper powered lunch box, but got rid of it. 1st, it truly does not FEEL like a real amp. I very much sounds fake for a lack of better words. I also does not really sound like the amp you're emulating. It may be close, especially in a mix with other instruments, but if you've played a Friedman BE or a Two Rock Custom Reverb, the Kemper just doesn't do these fine tube amps justice. Great tool for getting a lot of different tones & great for recording, but if you're a true blue die hard amp connoisseur who's played a great tube amp, I don't think any digital unit will ever do it justice. Just my opinion.

You do understand the point of the Kemper, right?

I beg to differ.....
This was my old amp. I have been to Pete's house and played the Kemper and the Friedman side by side.......no difference. Now, I will add, Pete has the profiling down to a science. That does make a difference.

Sure, that's why I know it's not for me. No need to get snooty.

I'm 100% certain I would LOVE having a Kemper, however, am more of that person who dials in that same sound on everything I have, which makes all of this expense seem pointless. Sure...it feels great to have all these toys, but I'm simply not getting anything done with them, which is also a whole other topic of conversation.

I actually saved up money to buy a used Kemper and it ended up selling just as I got to that point. Happy for the seller, bit of a bummer for me. Since then, everyone seems to think the Kemper is like US gasoline - nonsensical price fluctuations - and I've, once again, re-evaluated my position. Not convincingly so, though, 'cause that little green and black monster keeps haunting my dreams. Did I mention it's really pretty, too? In a techy sort of way. Ugh...there I go again...

Bob Savage: I certainly hope you know I was kidding, as the Kemper cab you've made is impeccably immaculate.

Therapeutic, isn't it?

Yes. In the 30min that has passed since I posted that, I have been able to quit drinking, I've been eating less and sleeping better.

I actually am in a similar situation. I pretty much leave my amps set the same, but I really want a kemper because I think that it would make a killer backup live
