-3" wheel diameter because anything smaller sucks for city streets (and most things larger are overkill and look weird)
-removable, either by way of a pop-in socket and stem like on the Fender/Ampeg/Ernie Ball casters (which are all 2" diameter) or a plate like on Mesa cabs
-brakes on at least 2 of the wheels
-not insanely expensive.
Mesa's 3" track-lock casters are $70 and don't have brakes. their 4" ones have brakes on 2 of the wheels, but are $120.
Parts Express has some with a similar system to Mesa's, and they're a little bit less expensive, but they're still about $65 after shipping, and i don't know how the quality compares. the release system on the mounting plate looks a little bit sketchy to me, too...like it looks like it's too likely to fail and either break, or just be released too easily. also the 3" casters with brakes that fit it look a bit cheap, too.
