Why me!?!? My Simul Sat is the latest victim of Fed Ex shipping delays.

1/3 was the scheduled delivery date. 6pm on 1/3 i get the "weather delay. delivery date pending" message. no updates since. I'm stuck at home with covid, and my 3 kids are still on winter break. I'm BORED AS FUCK, and this was my ticket out of boredom. I'm loosing it with anticipation. The fedex subreddit is pretty discouraging as well. I know its only been a day... but after reading some of the horror stories there...I'm not sure when i should start to worry.
 
You should expect everything to arrive 2-3 days later than quoted. That’s what I’ve been seeing lately.
 
Hope it comes soon. Shipping prices and delays are still crazy.

i can deal with that, i just want to know. fed ex leaves you in the dark at this point. it could stay like this with no updates for weeks according to people on the fedex sub reddit, which reading that left me feeling way worse about things. No wonder this company is the cheapest option of the big 3.
 
Yeah it’s a bummer. And shipping prices are going way up. Couple years ago I could ship an amp fully insured across the US for $80-90. Last one I sent was $141.
 
I have an amp in the mail with fedex right now, sent on the 30th, scheduled delivery was for the 6th, and now its for the 5th w000t!
 
UPS said mine was going to be delayed. Then it showed up as scheduled, but the driver left the box in a puddle in front of my garage door, under dripping eaves, without knocking on the door or getting the (required) signature. :(
 
I feel you. I wrecked my car back in November and they still cannot get all the parts. Annoying
 
I was fortunate. Ordered a Martin guitar from MF during XMAS week and they were offering overnight shipping on anything under 70 pounds for $20, but the rep gave it for free. Sure enough showed up next day. I was nervous about ordering anything around the holidays. Don't sweat it, it'll show up. Keep things in perspective, 1000s of people homeless in Colorado because of fires, Kentucky because of tornadoes, they will be homeless or living in a hotel for a year or more. Be grateful in these crazy times.

i know i'm projecting my first world problems. Its not like i don't have a perfectly good mark IV sitting next to me here.

my kids might be driving me bat shit, but at least we weren't stuck in a car on i-95 in VA the other day. you see that shit show!?! that would have a nightmare.

as far as fed ex goes. they have a spreadsheet file on their service alerts page that shows what zip codes are effected by weather, and its only in VA, NV, and CA right now and yesterday. nothing in ohio or MI. Their website hasn't changed much since the 2000's, its so dated.
 
I have a FedEx package that was supposed to deliver 12/24 from FLA. That's the last date that shows up in tracking somewhere in TN. Looks like it fell off the map. Not in a hurry for it but still annoying.
 
This amp is one of the few I have seen on here that I am fascinated by.
Super stoked you scored it and I am making an offering to the shipping gods to try to secure your amps arrival.
This entails me having to piss in a circle in the truck stop while chanting "kill all porch pirates" in ancient Sumerian.
Hope this goes better for me than it did for Ash....
