I don't get it, have had a killer custom shop Charvel up for weeks and nothing. These guitars kill, and nobody seems to get it!!!! They are some of the best playing super strats, well the original super strats in the first place, and that includes even the new ones. I am at a loss here. Someone help me!

This forum loves Charvels, waiting for my slime green to add to these....................

I love the charvels. I would have gladly hooked up with ya on the guitar you had, except for a couple of things.
I don't like the pointy headstocks and I have been waiting on Kurt to call me and say my new charvels are in.
I got that message today .
So my money has been on a leash. You are definately one of the better guys on here to deal with. That I know.
So I hope you finally caught a break and sold the guitar. I have wondered how costly a new neck to fit a charvel would cost.
Kurt was telling me on the new Charvels only the musikraft necks fit right.

Dunno what forum you're looking at, but almost everyone on this forum constantly brags about them.

hate them - played a few, just could not like those guitars.

picked up an ESP M-II, instantly fell in love?

im not against charvel - i own a korean model which is my number one. but i just dont like the USA charvels for many reasons which i care not to list due to forum scrutiny. i do wish i could actively support USA products and also like them at the same time. kinda agrevates me i like imported guitars better.

i will say that RT guys love these strats - and im sure many more owners will come out of the closet and post their pictures up.

how long have you had it for sale? eventually someone will want a model, search the classifieds section for it, and bingo - strat-be-gone.

I've wanted one for a while but I'm pissed that they don't have the recessed trem  I'm not going to mess with a floyd that I can't even do squeals with, it's half the fun

Eric, I'd love to buy that guitar, no cash is the only problem

  Hell yeah, if I can't do those what's the point of having to deal with all the extra bullshit that comes along with the Floyd? Not worth it
for me

The biggest abuser of the floyd on this forum, Stratotone, has no issues with pull ups on his Charvels ;)

How'd he manage that? Did he get his routed and a recessed Floyd? Last time I tried a non-recessed trem I could barely get any upward movement on it. Come to think of it Curt said he could get his tech to do a recessed rout for me which I thought was pretty cool

Give me an 83' original San Dimas ANY DAY!

But the new ones play good...

I can pull up a step and a half (3 frets) on my Charvels with no issues. I could easily set it to go up 4 frets but 3 is where I like them.

I have a 1980 and a 1984 so I can say after playing them back to back, the new ones are freaking great. Ask Ralph too, he has an '83 and he might like his '09 So Cal even better.

I played Ralphie's 83, very cool guitar dripping with mojo but I can also see why he has his 09 ;)

Serious question. Did Dimebag get those pullup on the whammy, harmonic squeals from Paul Gilbert in Racer X? This is from 1986 check out starting at 2:00
