I have a 1980 and a 1984 so I can say after playing them back to back, the new ones are freaking great. Ask Ralph too, he has an '83 and he might like his '09 So Cal even better.

Ralphs 83 an the 09 are different animals. 1, he wont take that bad boy out live, natch, and 2, they drove a tractor/trailer thru it when he had the Floyd put in AFTER the Kahler, and even though he says the shop he took it too warned him, as a tech who's done dumb stuff on customer requests, I'dve told him NO WAY as opposed to the ammt. of precious wood they carved outa that thing..
the 09's are there to be played, taken out Live and abused, rightly so...
