Papa,

Why did you decide to use mostly Wima capacitors in your amps? They are great capacitors but why those over any other? What makes them special?

I bow before your greatness and await your knowledge :worship: :D

wow alot more activity on the diezel form today then usual! My question got buried already haha

It don´t depends on the name WIMA. There are
easily available in Germany. The founder was
Willi Westermann.

The red ones are available as MKS series (polyester) and MKP series (polypropyplen).
The MKP series is good for coupling stages, the cheaper MKS is used
for other purposes like filters or logic.

Thank you Papa :) I'm messing around with an old tube amp trying to get some more beef out of it and I saw all the Wima's in my Herbert and thought maybe they did something for your taste and thought I'd ask and give them a try!

Thank you for your time! It is always a pleasure.
