I clearly remember watching MTV and hearing the opening riffs of Seventeen - and thinking it sounded like EVH. Listened to the tune, and bought the Winger CD the next day.

I think it's horrible. Like a bad attempt at going tough like SKid Row did when they put out Slave to the Grind. That was awesome and driving. This is as Badronald mentioned, pretty cheese ball because the lyrics are terrible and the chorus is weak. When I think of Winger I think of intelligent grooves, catchy choruses, melody, not this. Maybe i'm not letting the band "evolve" but overall it was very weak and the solo seemed like it was just thrown in there without purpose.

I won't be giving it another listen that's for sure..

EDIT: listening to it back one more time (i guess i lied about listening again), it sounds like a mix of Salve to the Grind and Maiden's be quick or be dead. Still not working for me.
