Alright, who's going to be there? Who is going try to be there but is not quite sure? Who really wants to go but "the man" is keeping them down?

Ill be there with my band, thanks to Ed Degenero hooking me up with a gig Tone Merchants.

Im guessing the guys in California/Hollingshead guys will be there (Savage, Chubtone, Mentoneman, Tommythelurker, etc etc)?

Speaking of which, we're doing the Hollingshead thing again, right? I heard it was tradition.

I gotta pass this year... I just got hired full time out of a contract position, just did some paperwork today actually, so it's a bit close to the date... Plus, my band's taking off for a week to do our album in late Feb/early March, and I think it'd be ballz to ask for two weeks off that close together. And, unfortunately, the band currently still trumps NAMM; as much as it's fun to hang out with you guys.

Good luck on the show bro, I hope it works out well for you guys.

Well pal, maybe it's just as well I stay home and not try to fit in with a bunch of ego maniacs. I won't kiss ass just to be treated like dirt by the in crowd. You seem a little sensitive to obvious sarcasm. Maybe you should get a lattee' and surf on some free WiFi.

I mearly stated the fact that regular musicians; you know, the people that buy all the gear to keep the industry going, aren't allowed in.

Well, I was just at Hollingsheads two nights ago (with Ralph/Kage's friend Keith) and the Hollingsheads aren't budging. There will be no Saturday at Hollings, but I though Hero's was quite good. Also, Kenny Hollingshead told me of a place even closer to Anaslime that's supposed to be really good. We'll button up the Saturday plans as we get closer to Jan.

I mean you no harm, but frankly, you started off with the wrong attitude and I can't help that. I'm not in some IN crowd and in any elitist circles.... I happen to get in once because of some people I consider good friends, met some more people, presented a decent attitude, and got offered passes when I need them. I feel like it needs to be said in short... I got in once on a lucky chance and didn't act like a dick... then I got offered chances to come back again.

Sensitive, who knows, not that it really applies in this situation... you post as if you really want to go, and shoot yourself in the foot right out the gate. Yes, I commented, so what... I don't know how coffee and modes internet access is relevant here.

Pretty much everybody you're going to talk to on here that goes to NAMM are "regular musicians; you know, the people that buy all the gear to keep the industry going" type folks.

I don't know what's got you really angry man, but it shouldn't be the NAMM show, and it damn well shouldn't be me.

i started going to NAMM as a college student around 86/87...i think i had yngwie's girlfriend's badge one year...amber dawn??? or some ridiculous name...and don't even remember how i got it!! but a badge is a badge...
i've been cliff from rickenbacker, julio from samba international, just hilarious...

until 3 years ago, i never actually had my own name on my own badge and never really "planned" to attend in advance...it's always been phone rings...dude i gotta extra pass, you wanna go...i guess so...cool....walk walk walk walk....

it's not really that life or death important to me...i'm in it to say howdy to my fellow guitar brethren, and to see the odd killer musical demo and mess with new toys and stay hip to what's out there...and it's helpful to see new technologies in recording and live sound for my "other" life too

It's really tough to get a pass. If Ed D didn't hook me and a whole slew of others up, I would not be able to go. I think your best bet is to see if there is anyone you know at a music store who can hook you up as well as ask on here. I have a friend who got a badge from GC and Ash just by knowing people who work there.
