I think purchasing a $2k+ preamp from Rudys, and having it be delayed, earns you a nice little spot on their NAMM pass list for next year...if not this year if you're willing to pony up the plane ticket and Rudys makes the right phone calls.

To be honest I am not that familiar with LA and that was the best decent room I could come up with when I booked it. How far is it from the convention center?

30 minute drive without traffic. so about 45-an hour with traffic.
I woulda expected you stayin at the Hilton or Marriott that's adjacent to the convention center.

Just called the Anaheim Hilton and got a a tower suite every night I am there! I even got into the NAMM block because someone canceled while I was on the phone with them and I made a friend of the girl on the phone !

LA traffic is rough, last year was my first year out and I learned my lesson fast! We stayed in hollywood and what a stupid mistake that was... This year im a mile from the convetion center!

Make that the Mariott bar and you got a deal, even though I stay at the Hilton I much prefer the hang at the Mariott.

BTW, if you only need a rental car to get to the hotel, go with a shuttle and save yourself the insane parking rates since chances are you won't venture far from the convention center.
