Wondered if anyone has any long term experience with either the G30 or G50 or comparable units at that price point. Line 6 have a rebate deal in UK until end of Dec so looks like possibly the best way to go.

G50 battery life seems to be a concern. Durability of the G30 also.

Been using an old AKG for years and its finally giving up so needs replacement.

Thanks very much.

Appreciate this will probably duplicate some earlier threads but up to date comments would be good to have.

I've been using the Shure GLXD for almost a year now and it has performed flawlessly despite having been dropped several times by my clumsy self. I like the built in tuner, the battery strength readout, and how quickly the battery recharges. I was looking at the G50 as well, good units either way you go.

had a line 6 and have the shure, imo the shure sounds a little better, a little fuller

also have the Shure. Works great, battery last very long time, easily charged

I have two of the G30 units and I have used them at least two shows a week for the last 4+ years. Never had a single issue. As far as battery life goes , I regularly get through two 3 hour shows before having to change the batteries. I can't reccomend them enough

g30 is solid and batteries last quite a while long enough for a 5 hr gig....and you can use any cord you want...

I have used a G30 are probably 2 dozen gigs with no issues. I have mine in a Neotech wireless pouch. I use freshly charged rechargable batteries for every show and it makes it through the nigh with no issues. I have no problems with sound cutting out or anything like that.

I've been using the Shure for a couple of months now and its been absolutely flawless. No difference from my favorite cable, long battery life and never a single dropout.

The only problem I've had with my G50 is the Neutrik cable that came with one... And that's quick 1 hour sets and full 4 hour deals with multiple guitars

I've never tried the g30 or g50, but I do have the G90 and love it. I bought it when it first came out and I've never had any trouble with it. I've used Nady, Sennheiser, and several Shure wireless systems over years and the G90 is, by far, my favorite.

I use a G-50 with rechargable Energizer batteries and have had plenty of juice for an evening.....
The bodypack reads 7hrs when they are fully charged and about 5hrs at the end of the night after
3 or so hours of playing......

I'v had the Shure GLXD now for a year. over a month on the road, allot of gigs.. it's been thrown around insanely. Never broke out even once.. very very good unit. Stomped on, kicked, thrown, fallen down etc. The fact u can just have it on your pedalboard is just way too cool.

Only thing was that there was a cold soldering in the jack to the transmitter that fucked me over for one gig.. was easily fixed, however totally fucking uncool.

I've been using line6 g90 for at least 4 years and it didn't disappoint me at anything. It's the est wireless system I've played.

My friend have the g50 and he is really happy with it also!

I've used the G50 and thought it was a great system. I wish the battery life was a little longer, but running AA batteries instead of the 9volt, wasn't too bad of an expense.

I've been using the GLXD--have used several other Shure models (had an old bandmate that works for them, so got to play with stuff from time to time for gigs) and the GLXD is simply the most convenient (fits on pedalboard, built in tuner, uses standard pedal power, transmitter can charge on a micro-USB phone charger, can charge in car en route to gig, etc).

I prefer the sound of it to a cable also. Seems and feels much more clear and I feel like I get better transient response.

I had the old X2 system that was the predecessor to the Line 6. Worked great but ate up batteries like they're going out of style.

I now have the GLXD. It's awesome. Battery charge lasts forever and the fact that it free'd up some real estate on my pedal board is great. (due to the integrated tuner)

Been using the G50 for several years now. Used it for large outdoor fests and clubs. Works flawlessly.

I had a G30 for a couple years. It was cool but every now and then it would cut out for a split second. like I missed a note. I was running it off of a Onespot instead of the power supply it came with so that might of had something to do with it.
