I wouldn't mind giving one of those a shot! Recently sold a bunch of boosts/OD's and vowed to just stick with what I have but a new flavor hits the market and now I have to have it.

$289 shipped. That side jack is kinda cool...switches channels when you click on the pedal.

So how does this pedal stack up to an actual Wizard amp, for those how have played Wizards? The amp he is playing through is listed as STOCK 79 JMP Marshall according to the YT notes.

I think I hear Wizard and some CCV type tones clarity wise, but it doesn't seem to hit or punch the same in the lows and low mids or have the aggresive bite a Wizard MCII or Cameron Jose has.

You said it was a two channel pedal, can you save two different EQ settings then recall each with a tap of a non latching footswitch in the side jack, that would be cool?

It’s listed as a transparent clean boost so shouldn’t that just boost the tone you already have?

I think if you run a cable to a 2 channel amp's foot switch jack, when you hit the pedal it changes the amps channel. So, if I run my Jubilee on the clean channel, run the cable out of the side jack into the foot switch jack I hit the pedal and the boost is activated at the same time it switches to the lead channel.

It's not pedal like a Friedman BE-OD that you'd run into the preamp on a clean channel. It's just a boost.

Well it seems like it’s more of an OD than a clean boost

I think it sounds pretty good. Does not completely neuter your bottom end by the sounds of it.

I am searching for one, sounds very good. Let me know if someone wants to get rid of theirs :)

Between $100-$150 it sounds great.

At $289 it sounds like nothing special, and overpriced. At that price I want a list of reasons to spend that kind of money for a dirt pedal; ge transistors or tubes, highest quality parts, two in one functionality (boost+od, vintage/modern modes, etc...). The channel switching thing could be cool for a few people I guess, but I usually expect my boosts to be used in front of both my clean, and dirty rhythm tones.

And let's be real, it's kinda on the ugly side of generic looking.

That is not a Wizard MCII in box. On the other hand I'm guessing Reza's footwear selection wasn't up to the job either.

I am just curious how it will match with the rhtyhm channel of the MTL mkii. Rick said the closest sound to MCII is Leopard into rhtyhm channel boost and black cat off. But I agree on being way overpriced. Still, boutique brands like Origin Effects, JRockett etc. charge similar nowadays

It's based on a Klon (as are a lot of other pedals by various brands) some of those brands also charge a good amount for the horse-man tones.
