Made this last night, decent volume...lead channel with the boost pulled only for the first 20 seconds.

And another shorter one from awhile back

Thanks Racerxrated, these amps just do it fore me, would like to try the MCII someday.

Speakers used were scumback M series 25 watt speakers. The cab is a somewhat dark sounding, regardless of speakers used, Splawn 4x12 straight cab.

Hell yeah! That's how a rock guitar should sound. Perfect tone! I love Wizards!

BTW, you captured the tone of that amp very well! How did you record it?

nice and rude marshall clank.. is this the new black and gold one?

Sounds great. I wish I got along with mine. Always recorded good. Maybe I need an old school MCI

Wizards great. I like my modern classic more so than the MCII. Either of these amps have plenty of gain.

what delay/verb did you apply and was it in the loop or out front?

Why that? I thought the MC2s lead channel is the MC...? Are they differently voiced or are the two you have different years/transformers...?

Thanks, No it should come this week, bought the coming quickly without getting all the info on amp so not sure which transformer it has. The one I have now in the clip has the C output transformer. I will know as soon as I get a good look at the transformer. Wish it had a loop but oh well.

Hardwire DL8 tape setting and Strymon Blue Sky plate setting, the wizard has no loop so the effects are being run through a fryette powerstation. You lose some of the thump and air displacement using the reamper/attenuator solution but the wizard has so much to spare it really does not bother me, but on some of my NMV plexi's with the fryette works really well, but you still lose some of the air movement lol.

Thanks for all the nice comments guys and no one complained of the string noise lol (I beat on the strings) or clams!

I will try to get up some clips soon playing some old Van Halen and Ratt stuff.

What I need to do is an A/B back and forth comparison of the wizard vs my Metropoulos 12,000 using a metro switcher. In the room they can be set up to sound very similar but curious how it would translate recorded.
