^Talk to me about your flattop love; I never actually played a FT HP

I know most guys prefer the carved tops, but I always prefer a flat top, especially on the HPs. I just think they look cooler that way.

If you play enough HPs, you might notice that there is some variation on the size of the finger boards used on these guitars. The neck profiles are all the same, but there was a batch made that seem to have larger finger boards. My cherry burst HP and tobacco burst HP were definitely different in that respect.

Are the frets about the same size as the hp ct's?

it's been a while since I've played a ct hp special, but I don't recall thinking there was any difference in terms of frets.

Not a carve top, but I have one and really luv it, they're sooo comfy and balanced feeling, especially for my smallish hands. It's brighter than any of my other super strats fwiw, not sure if that's the pickups or the just the nature of a smaller axe in general, but a couple tweaks to the amp and we're always cookin lol. I've been keeping an eye out for another one in fact because I like this one so much. Wish they came with rosewood boards (I've seen a few pics of those, but never with a Floyd setup, heh).

Thanks. They're serious bang for the buck guitars and they kinda fly under the radar, shame they didn't keep producing them because the build quality is also top notch. I love all the little "enhancements" compared to the Wolfgang, most of all the pickup selector positioning (and not being flipped lol) and the also dive setup trem.

I just received a BK Juggernaut set for my Black HP. I'll get it wired for 2 volume pots (ditch the tone control)
Stock pickups are solid, but I love me some BK and love the modern aggressive edge it delivers. Should be ready in a week....

I have the Moonburst too ,Love the guitar although I find the Peavey pickups kinda weak as compared to my Wolf. Never really fell in love with them

I am thinking i might change to MCP hot head or an Aldrich

Beautiful finish though on the blues

Great guitar. Most stable neck I own. Switched the wires on the selector so it operates like a les paul.

Yup Wolfgang Special.
And like crankyrayhanky I usually back the vol. off to 9 or 9 1/2.

You could throw it off a bulilding after dragging it several miles behind your car and I bet it would be in tune.

Had lots of problems with burrs on the nut and saddles breaking strings.
Often thought of dropping a real Gotoh floyd in it.
