At 200 more street price then the JVM 4 channel sold at last year they can keep it . :thumbsdown: .

I was intrested as i like simpler .but it should've been in the 1200 ballpark as its half the features, Marshall has just priced themselves out of the game .

a 2 channel Jvm for 1900 or the handbuilt VHT Sigx for 50 bucks more .what do you think most people will buy???

Since you can buy a 2 or 4 channel JVM now, and the Sig X might come out sometime in early 2057, I guess people will probably buy the JVM.
 
You sure it's going to be that much? The current 100 watt 4 channel is still $1,800. :confused:

It looks like there is also a 50 watt 2 channel JVM, though. I wouldn't be surprised if they tried to make that one about the price the 4 channel 100 was originally.

EDIT: Wtf, apparently the price is actually going up that much. Some places just still have them for $1,800 for the time being, I guess, but some are already at $2,200. That's a 22% price increase. Give me a fucking break. Marshall is so full of crap. That doesn't have anything to do with the dollar weakening. They wouldn't take a hit like that for a year. They raise their prices at least once a year, sometimes it seems like every 6 months, and it's always like 10-15%, but that's just ridiculous. This is just how they operate. "Downgrade" models to make the "flagship" look like a "more expensive" upgrade, when they're really just tacking on a premium to all of them...
 
Hughes and Kettner is like that too .Released the Switchblade 1299 .
Have tons of issues with the footswitch, recall it quietly ,fix it and pass that bill onto the customer by going 1699 retail.

Or better yet there new 50 watt Statesmen 2 channel head which looks like it will hit for around 1800 ..who does their pricing?

I say this and maybe it my rant for the day BUT you guys south of the border have some amazing builders .Rivera,VHT, Egnater to name a few who offer great products . if no one in the Us bought the new 50 watt Jvm id bet they would rethink that price in 6 months
