Yes im Canadian BUT when you get hit .we get hit..

so if the JVM is 1899 US .add 8% duties add 5% govt sales tax add 8% provincial sales tax and then add 2or 300 hundred retail gouging. Sit will be about 2499 . the 50 watt stilletto Mesa combo is 2299 retail here thats why so many canadians buy US.

I actually like that design but around that price range there are some upper tier offerings as well. :)

It is finished, you will like this very much and it ships Monday Priority.

Is that the new headshell? :)

They want me to spend WHAT on a 2 channel JVM?!?!?!

Ha..Marshall can blow me...I got my Nitro cheaper than that...hand built and KILLS the JVM!!!

Give it some time and when nobody buys that POS it'll come down in price sharply  :gethim:

My amp was $42.50 at a auction 15 years ago. You guys are crazy spending that kind of money for an amp.

just depends on what you want.

One good thing about Marshall is that they @ least get there stuff out the same year they introduce it. Does VHT have the Sig-X @ NAMM this year? I guess last January was the pre-introduction to the real introduction this year= :m9: :m9:

Now that's the Splawn loyalty we all know and love. :D Although, while i do agree that the JVM seems to be built like a cheap toy there really isn't more of them breaking than any other amp.

I agree, something can be made more cheaply but still be reliable.

Alot of guitarists don't care about build quality as long as it's reliable....some care (or least appreciate) both. :)

I think (some) amp companies inherently know this, and keep pushing the envelope with manufacturing techniques seeing how cheap they can make something while at the same time raising the prices

I have been jamming for 4 months once a week mostly with the JVM and all the knobs survived

$1600 for 4 channels, the killer foot pedal, and two master volumes was a no brainer for me but I agree that makers are going to keep pushing the envelope in build technics.

$1600 is a great price for the features you get. Now Marshall will sell you half those features for $200 more
