One good thing about Marshall is that they @ least get there stuff out the same year they introduce it. Does VHT have the Sig-X @ NAMM this year? I guess last January was the pre-introduction to the real introduction this year=

Now that's the Splawn loyalty we all know and love. Although, while i do agree that the JVM seems to be built like a cheap toy there really isn't more of them breaking than any other amp.

I agree, something can be made more cheaply but still be reliable.

Alot of guitarists don't care about build quality as long as it's reliable....some care (or least appreciate) both.

I think (some) amp companies inherently know this, and keep pushing the envelope with manufacturing techniques seeing how cheap they can make something while at the same time raising the prices

I have been jamming for 4 months once a week mostly with the JVM and all the knobs survived

$1600 for 4 channels, the killer foot pedal, and two master volumes was a no brainer for me but I agree that makers are going to keep pushing the envelope in build technics.

$1600 is a great price for the features you get. Now Marshall will sell you half those features for $200 more
