I need a reciprocating saw. Can the cordless models do the job? Or do you need a corded model to really do some damage?

i use a DeWalt cordless sawsall at work every day. if you have alot to cut, just make sure you have an extra battery. as far as cutting though they will do the same trick.

p.s. i have a black and decker sawzall, as well, and both of them work well. the dewalts just a bit sturdier, thats why i take it to work, and leave the other at home. again, if you buy one, try and get an extra battery with the deal, they really go through them. i have 6 extra dewalt batterys with me at work. i rarely go through all of them, but if i have alot of cutting with the circular saw as well...........

Maybe I'll hit up the pawnshop. They always have lots of tools. Maybe get the saw there if they have one and then go get 2 or 3 new batteries for it...

hell, if they have batteries at the pawn shop, check them out and buy them and a charger there. batteries are about as expensive as the damn saws. make sure to check them, and see if they're holding a charge though.

best one i've ever used is the porter-cable tiger saw. it was corded though. in my experience(decking,demolition&remodeling) corded is the way to go.

p.s. you were right, that little rectoverb is a beast. can't wait to jam with my drummer so i can get it eq'd. nick was a good guy to deal with.

I use a craftsman cordless model. It works well for the few times a year I use it. If I used it more I would probably get a better one or a corded model. Depending on what you are cutting mine can really eat through the battery in a hurry.
