A 2007 101b + $200 for a 2014 BE100? You can look at my sig for the amps I have. I don't usually ask this kind of advice on forums but I'm having trouble finding solid numbers on these amps and haven't played a 101b in some time. Thoughts?

No. But that's because I prefer the 101b. ;)

The BE100 is a little more "popular/hot" on the used market (using high school terminology here) right this minute... but that sounds about right as far as money goes both ways.

Hmmmmm. I just sold a 101b for $2400. It was to a buddy, so I may have left a couple hundred on the table, but no way would I be able to score a used be100 around here (southern Ontario) for less than $3400. All prices in Canadian $, but you get the idea. I think personally think the amps should be closer in value than that, but that's what the market around here says they're worth.

101Bs are priced between 2400-2900 from what I've been able to find, and a 2014 BE isn't really sought after like the newer 16/17 version. I'd say the Bogner plus 200 for your BE is a good deal in your favor. Used BEs 2015 and older don't command 3K from what I've seen, more like 2-2400.

What amps in the sig?! I can't seem to be able to take my eyes off the lady!!

A 101b isn't holding quite that high of value anymore from what I've seen. They sit and sit even in the 2k-2200 range. 2400-2900 is Classic to 20th Anniversary pricing. Although that's just around the forums. Not sure if they're selling for more elsewhere.

The Friedman BE is holding down the higher prices in the used market. Money aside, I would probably keep my Ecstasy Classic over a BE but the latter has the better high gain sounds for my taste. I just prefer everything else the Bogner offers. Clean to a bit of fur to juicy classic rock and blues tones are perfect on the Bogner. The Friedman has the crunchier, tighter attack and is voiced closer to a Marshall but thicker and refined. Perfect loop on the Friedman stuff too.

Both are awesome and I'd love to add a Friedman to my lineup, just wouldn't trade the Bogner for it.

Yeah, I agree. If it was a newer one that would be a better deal. I personally would want one of the newest BE-100s.

It would depend on how bad i wanted a Friedman ... ;)
