So I stopped by the shop after work to check it out and brought it home. It's the first Soloist I've ever tried and not only does it look like a hot rod it feels like one too. Crisp, responsive, resonant, with a comfortable fast neck. It's an 8/20 build and condition is what most people would call mint. Got them to knock off another $100 so while $3,500 is still quite pricey considering where they used to be I don't think I'd be able to do much better. I've also heard a few times that Jackson is raising prices again this month so I figured since I liked the guitar, if true, waiting was a bad bet.
