I have been made aware of the fact that some people get their cars wrapped in a vinyl like material.. Whether it's for artistic reasons, protection, or just a colour change... But it seems like a good idea to mod your car in a way that's reversible.

So, has anyone seen the same thing available for guitars?

Buying one today, if dude ever gets back to me about the guitar.

what one you getting?

There's a cheap 7 I've been eyeing; dude did numerous upgrades including Hipshot bridge and tuners, a Crunchlab in the bridge, and he did a carbon fiber wrap on the body and HS. Looks pretty cool but if it annoys me I'll just take it off. Guitar is black underneath. Ibanez RG7321...been wanting a 7 for around the house and don't want to spend too much before Christmas. See what happens.

That process has been around for years. Some jap fenders had photo-flame finishes to make it appear as a flame top but it's the plastic wrap, some lp copies had these also as did cort and a few other import makers. I can't imagine it being great for tone and would look pretty dumb once it gets a rip.
