Anybody else have a MK III that they sent to Mesa? I have one that sounds good but I think it could sound better.
Sblue whats a overhual l like that cost at Mesa? I've been thinking of sending my MK III for a tune up.

There's quite a bit of time I've sent my amp there, so I don't remember how much it costs.
If you give them a call they can give you an estimate.
The 2c+ I've sent to the Mesa factory, since it was a complete restoration. The 2b I've brought to the Mesa store in Hollywood, and John did an amazing job going through it and making sure everything was working up to specs. Bot amps are still smoking!!

I believe his last name is "Bendinele", but not sure how to spell. He is one of, or the one, engineers responsible for the design of the MK2s and MK3s, probably a lot other products and I believe even the Rectifier series.
He is still working on Mesa amps. He worked on my 2c+ through the Mesa factory.

The C++ (yes two pluses) with 105 power transformer is the absolute cream of the crop. The export transformer version is also preferred by some for a richer, creamier sound. Even the most common ones (common being a relative word here) with the 100 power transformer are no slouches.

The C++ w/105 transformer is the only amp I've ever played that could give a Larry Dino a run for its money in terms of explosive note attack, over the top saturated yet well defined crunch and overall viciousness.
