I don't think so. I'm pretty sure the older one I had was front loaded.

I ended up grabbing a 1st gen deliverance 4x12 and bought the fanes from avatar…

Fun fact, Fryette/vht used to cut the speaker hole about 1/16” smaller diameter than the current cabs so this is not as plug and play as you may imagine ?

Yeah. I remember someone on the Fryette Facebook group said that they tried to put Fanes in their old Fat Bottom cab and they wouldn’t fit.

So is either the old or the new vht/fryette cabs cut correctly for swapping to Celestions?
Is it the Fanes or the p50e that are sized weird? Or both?

I had an old Ibanez toneblaster cab that was dirt cheap used, but when I went to swap in some better speakers I ran into the same thing.

Guessing it's the fanes that are odd. VHT originally used Celestions before they moved to Eminence.

Yeah that is true, he did the greenback/v30 mix at one time, and I've heard him say that they were going for that combined tone with the p50e, but I'm not sure the p50e ever really achieved it.
