Dee is a moron. About a step below the douche level of Ted Nugent

Ya I thought it was pretty dick style of him. IMO Twisted Sister was never relevant!

What is wrong with people? Dee is an idiot.

Very unprofessional.

This, and that's REALLY saying something :D

Not cool to say it in public, but isn't Dee a disc jockey of some sort? This goes against RigTalk nation, but I agree, Aldrich and many others like him are kind of irrelevant. Doug made an analogy that he is Tom Brady. Tom Brady would be Sykes, who helped propel Whitesnake to the highest peak. Doug is more like a Tony Eason, good enough player but no one really knows him. No doubt rude, but true

Yeah... definitely a douchebag moment for Dee. Doug's one of the nicest, humblest guys... not too mention uber talented. I think Dee has been watching to many Kanye highlights.

Good To Be Bad and Forevermore are FAR better than anything Dee has ever been associated with. What a hack. Doug is a talented musician, producer, and of course guitar player. Dee sang hair rock, has a stupid radio show (that admittedly plays some decent tunes), and I believe he was involved with reality TV.

I'm a huge Whitesnake fan, GTTB and FM are to me some of the best stuff WS has ever done. Doug's guitarwork is superb, the riffs are great, as are the arrangements and the production.

Bad Moon Rising, and Burning Rain I may add are also for superior to anything Dee has every done. I would say from now on I will no longer listen/purchase anything that Dee is associated with.... but I already do that.

Eh, sort of:

"He [Doug] explained: "You look at sports, and you look at, for example, the [New England] Patriots, and [quarterback] Tom Brady, and what he's done… I'm not comparing myself to Tom Brady by any stretch — it's nothing to do with that — but it's, like, an example… Okay, in a few years, maybe Tom Brady goes away and they get a new guy. Listen, man, the Patriots were famous before Tom Brady, and the Patriots will be famous after Tom Brady, but when Tom Brady goes to do a signing, he's gonna go, 'Tom Brady of the Patriots,' right?! And that's exactly what I do.""

Dee has always been aloud mouth first and foremost.
Really all TS brought too the table is guys dressed like women.
His vocals and All TS songs are very mediocre at best imo.

damm...

I love marketing "tools" like arguing and nagging...

You know that there is not such thing like bad publicity...

And that can be said for both sides...(dee the guy who says, doug the guy who reproduces)

Pretty dissapointed with both...

If there was something true on that they COULD have work it out without all this twitter-interview shit...

twisted sisters story is a pretty remarkable story...look up the you tube thing with JJ french talking about the shit they went through. But Dee has always been a undesirable human being

Didn't Dee also fuck the rest of the band out of a shit ton of royalties? Not a fan. And Doug did say that he wasn't comparing himself to Brady...although that was a bad anology. But he tried to qualify it...Doug's well known as a genuinely nice guy. Dee Snider? Not so much.

I think Snider's just one of those guys that resents others who keep at it (new projects, new material, new tours), because he gave up to become a nostalgia act.

In a way Dee is right. Douch but right. All hair metal (and most metal/rock) is pretty irrelevant now to the general public. Most people are into rap and what not and have NO IDEA who either of these guys/bands are.

I don;t know how Mr Snider thinks he can talk down to anyone. The guy was maybe relevant for twenty minutes thirty years ago. His radio show 'House of Hair' is ok, at best, but only when the music is playing. As soon as he starts yapping, it's unlistenable to.

Exactly.

Dee talks a lot and is bound to say stupid stuff once in a while. But in that case, I sort of agree with him. I don’t think he is saying Doug is a horrible musician. I think he is saying if you were not already in the door when Kurt Cobain shut it on that style of music, you are not really in the club.

Doug is a great player but he never received that much notoriety when that style of music was most popular.
How many demos of gear have you seen with people playing some of Doug’s Whitesnake riffs? I see some every month of people playing “Still of the Night” or “Bad Boys.”

How many people think of Jon Levin’s riffs when they think of Dokken or Joel Hoekstra’s Night Ranger riffs? These guys are great players. They just didn’t have the timing of being in these bands during the time these bands were most popular. That’s the way I read it anyway.
