They think they can > $$$ 400 because of different colored tolex?

What's up with that?

Sure, that's silly, but they can do whatever they want.

When your name is on the building you can change pricing/policy.

I remember a real grouchy guy named Dave worked in Customer Service back 7-8 years ago. I brought in a Road King I thought was bad, turned out I had one of the million toggles in the wrong position. He condescendingly told me to do my homework before driving up there to look at the amp. Worst customer service ever

Yeah, I realize they can do whatever they want and people still buy the stuff.

I am just pointing out my OPINION that I think it's weird that they charge > $200 or whatever for Red tolex vs. black.

That is all ;)

Here's one for you US based folks;
a Mark V:25 (you know, that $1300 mini head), costs 1980 euro in Europe. That's about USD $2250!

$2250!!!
Let that sink in for a minute. :aww:

I picked up an early Triaxis when they first came out (what was that, 1990?) and maybe a year later there was a mod offered (rectifier??) for 2 or 300 bucks. I put the money order in with the packing slip and shipped it off. They got the amp and without pulling the packing slip they shitcanned the box. When they had finished the mod they got a hold of me asking for payment at which time I told them that it had been in with the amp. So now I had to call around to the Money Order folks and get things taken care of and get the boogie payment sent out again - in the meantime they shipped it and told me to get them payment when I could. It took a long time and they never pinged me about it. Not even one time.
I guess things can change in 25 years but I'm bettin you just ran into a dink having a bad day

The extra admin and process for custom work can be significant
I would doubt a company with the integrity Boogie has are trying to fleece the end user

Hey, paypal me $2250 and I'll buy one and ship it to you for free.

Boogie still doesn't do email in 2015. OLD SCHOOL. FONE OR GO HOME.

He would probably need the 240V version though. Plus they would get taxed like crazy making it probably the same cost.

Cool didn't know they had that. I was looking at an old Marshall that is 240V. Maybe now I can get it :dunno:

Nah, even if the plug is correct, the power input for the Mesa is either 110V or 240V. It doesn't have the 100-240V switching range like a Peavey 6505MH does have.

I for one, have actually been at the Mesa facility where they fixed my junk for dirt cheap, and while I waited gave me a tour of the whole manufacturing facility. They are good in my book.

Bogner up-charges for different colors as well (way too much).

Soldano DOES NOT charge extra for various colors or patterns!

I would hope not as an SLO is $4150 new anyway. Maybe they should charge extra to get an effects loop fix.

I've had A+ experiences with Mesa support. I will say that. They say they'll call you back and they do.
